RAYNE - Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. for Hazel Beaugh Benoit, 83 who died Thursday, February 4, 2010.
Interment was at the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Surviving are her husband, Wilton Benoit; two sons, Dr. Larry Benoit and wife Victoria Lundington of Lafayette, and Michael B. Benoit and wife Linda Edwards of Rayne; two daughters, Christine Benoit Melancon of Rayne and Ellen Benoit Dailey and husband Clayton of Rayne; one brother, Charles Beaugh, Jr. and wife Eva Gonzales of Lake Charles; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Mary Beth Benoit.
She was born Friday, February 26, 1926 in Branch, the daughter of the late Charlie Beaugh, Sr. and the late Dora Thibodeaux.
Friends were received from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne.
The family would like to thank her devoted caregiver, Heart of Hospice, as well as Dr. Leo Dealvere and his staff.
