Homicide being looked into by Church Point police

Man found dead in residence

CHURCH PT. – Church Point Police are in the process of investigating an apparent homicide after a 46-year-old man was found dead in a residence on Martin Luther King Road Wednesday.
“We are currently working this case as a homicide,” Chief Albert Venable said. “We are in the early stages of putting things together and sorting through what evidence we have.”
Chief Venable said the victim was identified as August Carter and no other details in the matter were available.
