Choir members under the direction of Barbara Hoffpauir were on hand to greet Presidential candidate John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie when they appeared during the 1959 Rice Festival. Anyone knowing members of the choir are urged to contact Kathy Duncan at the Crowley Post-Signal at 783-3450 or e-mail her at cpsn@bellsouth.net. Also does anyone remember if any 8mm film was shot that day. And any idea what TV station pulled out the big camera for JFK? Surely, some TV crew shot some 16mm film of the occasion.
