 <title>Crowley Police make narcotics arrests</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Crowley Police Department Narcotics Agents have been hitting the streets of Crowley fighting the illegal drug industry. Agents during the past week, have secured 2 search warrants and have been successful during their searches.&lt;br /&gt;
“Our agents and street unit officers have been working hard to make cases for prosecution. The two search warrants completed this past week yielded a good amount of narcotics from 2 big players involved in the illegal distribution of drugs in our town” stated Chief K.P. Gibson.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Church Point woman stopped with $6,000 in fake money</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;CHURCH POINT - A Church Point woman who was pulled over for wreckless driving soon found herself in much hotter water.&lt;br /&gt;
Upon inspection of the car owned by Jessica E. Stelly, 23, a deputy located $6,000 worth of counterfeit money. Stelly was arrested at 6 p.m. Thursday and charged with sixty counts of monetary instrument abuse, illegal display of a license plate, and improper lane usage.&lt;/p&gt;

Her heart, however, has been in Crowley.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;MAMOU - The high price of a tank of gasoline has been the talk of most conversations  throughout the nation especially during the economic crisis that the country faces.&lt;br /&gt;
Friday morning was no different when the nationally televised Good Morning America on ABC announced that the lowest gas prices in the nation could be found in “Mamou, Louisiana (and I hope I’m saying that right)” the morning host stated.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Acadia Youth Council hears advice</title>

&lt;p&gt;Members of the Acadia Youth Council gathered at the Sheriff’s Department Thursday afternoon for a very informative presentation from two members of the Jefferson Children and Youth Planning Board, Roy L. Junker and Dr. John Ryals. The men were in town to discuss the success that their group has had as well as to discuss ways for Acadia’s Youth Council to help to develop and protect the youth of Acadia Parish.&lt;br /&gt;
Juncker, a former Westwego Police Officer was the first to speak.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;CROWLEY - The Acadiana Festival of Life concluded Thursday night with Rick Stanley as the event’s speaker.&lt;br /&gt;
Stanley, step-brother to Elvis Presley, detailed the tragic events of his youth from living with an abusive alcoholic father to being placed in foster care along with his brother after his mother fled the unhealthy marriage.&lt;/p&gt;
