Eunice man appointed to state panel
Jindal taps Darryl Feucht
Darryl Feucht of Eunice was appointed by Gov. Bobby Jindal on Friday to the Prison Enterprise Board.
The Prison Enterprises Board serves to lower the cost of incarcerating inmates by utilizing the resources of the Department of Safety and Corrections in the production of food, fiber and other necessities used by inmates, provide products and services to state and parish agencies, municipalities, public employees and other political subdivisions, and offer lawful work opportunities to inmates.
Members represent interests as set by law.
Feucht is the superintendent of Riceland Drilling Company, an oil and gas company, and is a rice and soybean farmer. He will serve as a member specializing in agronomy with experience as a farmer for the production of field crops for commercial purposes, as required by statute.
