EUNICE – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred Andrus, 73, was be celebrated Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota.  Burial followed in the St. Joseph Mausoleum with Father Mikel Polson officiating.
Mrs. Andrus, a resident of Iota, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the American Legion Hospital in Crowley, La.
A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, Mildred is survived by four sons, Gerald W. Courville and wife, Rhonda of Spring Texas, Ronald J. Courville, Sr. of Jennings, James C. Andrus and wife, Tracy of Iota, and Clyde J. Andrus, Jr. and wife, Billie of Lake Charles; one daughter, Gloria Ledbetter of Jennings; one brother, Felix Bellard and wife, Grace of Gotte’s Cove; and one sister, Lena Lejeune of Jennings; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and three step-daughters, Nelda Dore’, Cathy LeJeune and Christine Pommier.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Andrus, Sr.; parents, Dominick and Rose Gotte Bellard; and one sister, Zena Mae Ortego.
Family request that visiting hours be observed on Friday, May 2, 2008 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 8 a.m. until services. A Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Friday evening.
