CROWLEY – The senior class of 2008 attended their final mass at Notre Dame High School Wednesday morning. The “senior farewell mass” was attended by students, faculty, and parents of the senior students.
Father Gary Schexnayder delivered a stirring sermon congratulating the seniors on their accomplishments while warning them about the dangers of straying from God’s path. Both students and faculty members were joyous and emotional during the mass.
Near the end of the mass, Rachel Koch sung an acapella version of the Beatles classic “Let it be” which drew an appreciative round of applause from those in attendance.
Following the mass, the students enjoyed a senior slide show which was put together by senior student Amanda Sarver. The show included baby pictures of all the seniors drawing laughter from the group.
Notre Dame’s graduation is set for Friday, May 16, 2008.
