Rayne Police seek murder suspect
UPDATE: On December 6, 2017, Tyler Trevaghn Francis, 18. surrendered to the Rayne Police Department where he was booked for one count of second degree murder from the Tuesday evening stabbing homicide.
Rayne Chief of Police Carroll J. Stelly released the name of Tuesday night's homicide victim as Blake Boudreaux, 22, who resided in the 700 block of West Leslie Street in Rayne. As policy, the Rayne Police Department withholds the victim's identity until all family notifications have been made.

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at 11:26 p.m., the Rayne Police Department responded to a stabbing incident at the intersection of Mervine Kahn Avenue and American Legion Drive.
Officers found a 22-year-old black male unresponsive from multiple stab wounds. The subject was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
During the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Tylen "Tookie" Francis, 18, for second degree murder.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
