Louisiana has “turned the corner” in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov.
Back in March, Gov. John Bel Edwards signed an emergency order to close certain businesses across the state of Louisiana. The order was in response to the emerging COVID-19 pandemic.
Checkpoints that have been in place on the Texas-Louisiana border for weeks will be closing today.
Public Masses will continue, but not until state and health officials say it’s okay, according to Bishop J. Douglas Deshotel of the Diocese of Lafayette.
