One of Rayne’s most cherished citizens, Norman Faulk, was named honoree of a surprise birthday party held in honor of his 90th birthday.
Of local interest, the exhibit “Evangeline: Evolution of an Icon” is now on display at the West Baton Rouge Museum.
Wayne “Blue” Burns, a Grammy winner and acclaimed bass guitarist, will donate his bass guitar to the Jeanerette Museum on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m.
The event is open to the public.
The National Association of Women - Crowley Branch will host a Back to School Giveaway and Seminar for middle and high school students on Friday, Aug. 13.
