Members of Acadia Parish School Board met in regular session this week. In opening items the board recognized two outstanding Iota High School students.
Kaplan Police Chief Boyd Adams turned himself in Monday morning to the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office after a warrant was issued for his arrest by the Louisiana State Police.
The month of September has been designated as “Attendance Awareness Month” in schools and communities across the country and Acadia Parish is chiming in on the celebration.
The effects of Hurricane Harvey are still being felt in Acadia Parish - at the fuel pump.
