Judges from the Louisiana Garden Club Federation Cleanest City Contest were in Crowley Thursday on double duty — to judge Crowley for the State Cleanest City Contest and to present the award as the District VII, Categoy G winner. On hand for the presentation of the award at City Hall were, from left, Alderwoman and Cleanest City Chair Katy Chiasson, judges Sandy Waters of Oak Grove, Georgia McMurray of Monroe, Mayor Chad Monceaux, and judges Jean Gilstrap (chairwoman) and Connie Snell, both of Farmerville.

Cleanest City state judges tour Crowley

State judges in the Louisiana Garden Club Federation Cleanest City Contest toured the city Thursday as Crowley competed against Broussard, Reserve and Pineville for the Division G title.

Iota Post rededicates American Legion Hall

IOTA - Three years ago the Murry J. Reed Post 371 American Legion Home here was in shambles. The floor had caved in and the supports were stickup up through the wood.
