Spiritual A’mizhjaii Ty’Ail Guidry, left, daughter of Tynash Byers and Frank Guidry, was crowned Queen of the 2022 Crowley High School Homecoming during halftime of the football game Friday night at Gardiner Memorial Stadium. She joins Football Sweetheart Pilar Jeané Claire Morris, daughter of Theresa Morris and Donald Adams, as royalty for this year’s Homecoming.

Local attorney Parker Mitchell, left, presided over his first cases as the parish’s new Administrative Law Judge Thursday afternoon. Mitchell’s primary jurisdiction will be code enforcement in the rural areas of the parish, including derelict buildings, code violations, etc. With him prior to the official opening of court are Ashley LeBlanc, center, director of the Acadia Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, whose office handles code enforcement; and Jade Boudreaux, permit supervisor.
