Pat Crowley and his daughter stopped at The Vanilla Bean recently en route to Arizona from North Carolina. Crowley told the Vanilla Bean “regulars” that, when he was planning the trip he saw (the city of) Crowley on the map and, after reading about how it was named for railroad engineer Pat Crowley, decided to stop and look around. Crowley was taking his daughter to Arizona where she will be an engineering intern with Freeport-McMoRan Mining. This wasn’t Crowley’s first trip to Louisiana, he played college football for UNC when they visited Tiger Stadium in 1986.
