Crowley Kindergarten students have met their goal of earning 100 Lexia Certificates. Lexia is a Literacy Based Platform that helps students work independently to develop their critical reading skills through individualized, motivating learning paths. The reward for achieving this goal was “Pajama Day” for the whole school. With some of the students wh received certificates are Principal Angie Trahan, left, and Instructional Assistant Heidi Kratzer.

The works of collage artist Shelia Kelly will be on display throughout the month of December at the Crowley Art Gallery at 411 N. Parkerson Ave. The Crowley Art Association will host a gala from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, to honor Kelly. The event is free and open to the general public.
