Charles Edward Johnson

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, at the Pentecostals of Crowley Church for Charles Edward Johnson, 76, who passed away Jan. 21, 2020, at Lafayette General Hospital.
Rev. Lenford Whitaker, pastor of the Pentecostals of Crowley Church, officiated for the services with Rev. B.J. Rhymes and Rev. Johnathan Haygood participating.
The family requested visiting hours to be held Thursday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley and Friday from 10 a.m. to the time of service at church.
Interment was in Maxie Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Loretta Johnson of Crowley; one daughter, Gillian Larsen of Crowley; one brother, Larry Johnson of Canton, Mississippi; one sister, Sandra Curtis of Philadelphia, Mississippi; and three grandchildren, Caleb Larsen, Nathanael Larsen, and Neiel Larsen.
Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. E.L. Johnson; and his son-in-law, Cai Ole Larsen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
