The Empowering the Community for Excellence Learning Center in Crowley was recently awarded a $5,000 grant by the CenterPoint Energy Foundation.
First National Bank of Louisiana and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) recently awarded a $24,000 grant to Empowering the Community for Excellence in Crowley.
A near-overflow crowd was in attendance Wednesday for the ceremonial presentation of a grant from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation to Empowering the Community for Excellence.<
While the center itself was closed and many were off celebrating Mardi Gras, Audry Spencer was at the tutoring center she helped build from the ground up several years ago.
