Members of the Rice City Seniors celebrated Mother’s Day with a “Hat Party” Monday, May 9, at the International Rice Festival Building. Members were invited to decorate a hat for the occasion and all of the mothers were given crocheted flowers. Among those honored during the event were, seated from left, Barbara Thibodeaux, Mary McMichael, Essie Monceaux; standing from left, John O’Donnell, Gertrude O’Donnell, Barbara Morgan, Sandra Trahan, Juanita Sonnier, Winna Lavergne, Sadie Hebert, Nettie Breaux and Nora Monceaux.
