Depicting rice as “The Superhero of Grain,” the official poster for the 82nd annual International Rice Festival was unveiled during ceremonies Wednesday night at Rice Palace.
The 82nd International Rice Festival will recognize Gerard Frey as the 2018 Farmer of the Year.
The annual Poker Rice Run will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, as a kick-off event in advance of the 82nd annual International Rice Festival, according to Shanna Morgan, festival coordinator.
The 82nd International Rice Festival will recognize Benjamin Joseph Faulk as the 2018 Junior Farmer of the Year.
