83rd Festival Queen
Saturday saw a gorgeous morning for the crowning of a new International Rice Festival Queen.
Jimi Madison Joubert was crowned the 83rd International Rice Festival Queen.

Superintendent Scott Richard and wife Mary crowned the 2019 Junior Rice Festival King and Queen during ceremonies on the Supreme Rice Sound Stage Friday morning. The new queen is Vivian Siebert from Iota Elementary. The new king is Nicholas Shaw Credeur of Egan Elementary. On hand for the crowning were, from left, Second Runners-up Porter Hebert and Amelia Harrell, Credeur, Siebert, and First Runners-up Abigail Vercher and Myles Lafosse.
