This morning the 81st International Rice Festival Junior King and Queen were crowned on the Supreme Rice Stage following the pageant.

The 54th Rice City Senior Queen, Faye Hall Hoy, will be crowned at tonight’s Golden Age Coronation Ball at the International Rice Festival Building, 717 W. Mill St. in Crowley. The ball begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 (children 6 and under are admitted free) and tickets are available at the door.

On Thursday, members of the Crowley Police Department, the Crowley Optimist Club and the Rice Festival Association gathered at the police department to announce their finalized plans for protecting children during this year’s festival.
