The 54th Rice City Senior Queen, Faye Hall Hoy, will be crowned at tonight’s Golden Age Coronation Ball at the International Rice Festival Building, 717 W. Mill St. in Crowley. The ball begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 (children 6 and under are admitted free) and tickets are available at the door.

The 81st International Rice Festival is here and tonight will see the crowning of the 54th Rice City Senior Queen at the International Rice Festival Building in Crowley.

On Thursday, members of the Crowley Police Department, the Crowley Optimist Club and the Rice Festival Association gathered at the police department to announce their finalized plans for protecting children during this year’s festival. Among those in attendance were, kneeling, Stacy Prejean.
